Kering & London college of fashion partner for new programme

2024 marks the 10th anniversary of Kering’s partnership with the London College of Fashion’s Center for Sustainable Fashion. In just a decade, the academic agreement enabled the launch of the Kering x CSF graduate program, exclusively offered at the LCF, as well as the Fashion Values MOOC. Building upon the previous course offering, the new program will span over 3 years, and will train future decision-makers in the fashion industry to develop sustainable governance models.

Sustainability, collaboration, and creativity are core pillars of Kering’s vision for the future of luxury. Through its various academic contributions, the Group aims to offer comprehensive training that provides students with the tools to place sustainability at the core of an organization’s strategy.

Kering and the London College of Fashion have unveiled a dynamic 3-year programme. Centered on sustainable governance, it equips budding fashion leaders with interdisciplinary expertise and a focus on the “3Is” of sustainability. Marie-Claire Daveu emphasizes the transformative power of education in shaping a sustainable future for the fashion industry.

A University of Chester(@uochester) graduate and award-nominee is making a mark in the fashion industry with the release of a striking new capsule collection, high-profile events on the horizon and international attention.

Alexandra Novacki has unveiled her first pre-collection since completing her studies in Fashion Design, in the lead-up to her eagerly-anticipated couture runway, and new images spotlight the crafted bespoke garments.

The one-to-watch is also hosting an Industry Evening of Couture on Friday (March 22), where she aims to bring together northern talent, from designers to stylists, right through to experts in hair, make-up and modeling. The networking evening at Soup Creative in Chester offered the opportunity for the northern fashion scene to step out from behind the runway and celebrate their work together.

Meanwhile, Alexandra’s work, including pieces designed and created during her time at the University, has been featured in the March edition of the magazine, Schön! Switzerland.

Alexandra focuses on creating bespoke items that empower the wearer and spark conversation, using the finest materials and the highest skills.

Her pre-collection features a small selection of couture pieces, bringing a focus to quality rather than quantity, and drawing inspiration from the natural beauty she was surrounded

Shark Tank India 3: Sharks Vineeta Singh, Aman Gupta and Radhika Gupta are divided over the concept of ‘co-ord sets in fashion’

The second pitch in the latest episode of Shark Tank India 3 is from the founders of a vibrant print and color outfits – WhySoBluefounded by Shweta Shivkumar and Jaya Shivkumar. The mother-daughter duo specializes in a fun apparel brand, which began in 2015.
They recently opened their first flagship store. Their ask is Rs 75 lakh for 3% equity.
The Sharks check the products and Radhika Gupta says, “It is loungewear. This is something I would wear at home.” Vineeta Singh says, “These co-ord sets are worn outside. Not inside. Whether you like the fashion or not, that’s a different story.”
Aman Gupta asks Vineeta, “Does your fashion sense will call this fashion?” Vineeta replies saying, “I won’t wear these. I don’t wear such ethnic prints.”
Radhika asks the pitchers, “Is cotton co-ords a big trend?” Vineeta tries to explain and Radhika says, “Please, can I just finish? Is Cotton co-ord a big trend to wear outside because it crushes?” The pitchers say that cotton material is favorable for Indian weather.

Belk spring dresses and more created by NC A&T fashion graduate

Jewel Moser created a collection of dresses, jumpsuits, and outfits for Belk’s Crown & Ivy clothing line.

GREENSBORO, NC — A North Carolina A&T State University alumna just launched her own spring fashion collection at Belk stores, the university said.

Jewel Moser graduated from NC A&T’s fashion merchandising and design program in 2023.

Her collection, “Jewel Moser x Crown & Ivy” at Belk, includes a combination of dresses, jumpsuits, and two-piece sets.

“I was inspired by the beaches, coral reefs and warm summer nights spent with friends,” said Moser. “I drew inspiration from the colors of the sunset to create a day-to-night collection that dresses women in comfort and style.”

Belk is celebrating 10 years of its Crown & Ivy clothing line. As a way to celebrate, the store held a contest for fashion students to create an original, 10-piece collection. Moser entered the contest as a junior and won.
