Sky News leverages new logo for simple new promo

Sky News, which updated its logo design earlier this month, has found a way to use the new logo as part of a simple, typographically oriented promo.

The promo, which channels the network’s “split” logo design, features a mostly red and white background divided down the middle of the screen.

The spot includes a dramatic musical bed with beats cued to the moment the word to the left of the word “news,” which is rendered in the network’s new typeface, flips through a variety of words such as “good,” “secret” and “brave.”

At certain points the beat is also linked to the colored background switching sides.

When the word “breaking” appears on screen, the color scheme switches to the yellow and black palette the network uses.

Bones Streams Robot TV Anime Captain Earth’s 1st Promo – News

The official website for the Captain Earth television series from anime studio BONES opened on Sunday and began streaming the first promotional video.


The story begins when second-year high school student Daichi Manatsu suddenly spies a mysterious circular rainbow floating in the skies over Tanegashima island on television, on the evening before summer vacation begins.

“I’ve seen that rainbow before…” Moved by intense foreboding, he heads to Tanegashima, the home of Japan’s Tanegashima Space Center, by himself.

The mystery of his father’s accidental death. Memories of mysterious boys and girls he met during childhood. Daichi arrives at the island full of complex emotions, and as alarms sound at the center, he encounters the robot “Earth Engine.”

Daichi is asked, “Are you the Captain?” The target is the mysterious all-mechanical lifeform “Kirutogangu” that is invading from Uranus. Now, when the stars in the skies are ablaze, the curtains open on their battle….

The website features the English taglines: “A summer story of a boy who searched for the truth,” and “When I opened the door called truth, my childhood ended. It was a summer I could never forget.”

Leo – Bloody Sweet: Thalapathy67 gets a wow promo!

Thalapathy Vijay’s 67th movie has got a title. And it is ‘Leo’. The title reveal teaser was released a while ago. We see the ‘Varisu’ star stylishly making a variety of chocolates in a den-like place. This is a clear callback to the promo of ‘Vikram’, where Kamal Haasan’s character was seen preparing a variety of dishes for his prey.

The hero soaks an elegant sword into a drum full of chocolate liquid. When he takes it out, he tastes a morsel of chocolate. This could be an indication that he wants to taste the blood of his prey, who is on the way to see him. A swarm of cars is seen intermittently.

The promo is also reminiscent of the ‘Tamahagane’ sword intro given by Praveen Sattaru’s ‘The Ghost’, which had Akkineni Nagarjuna in the lead.

Also starring Sanjay Dutt, Trisha Krishnan, Priya Anand, Mathew Thomas, Mysskin, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Arjun Sarja, Mansoor Ali Khan, and others, the film is slated to hit the screens on October 19.

A delightful Valentine experience awaits Glo subscribers this year as the telecommunications company, unveils another season of its Smartphone Festival Promo, which comes with up to a whopping 36GB of free data for subscribers to share with their loved ones.

The promo, according to a Globacom statement, is aimed at giving its subscribers a treat as they join the world to celebrate the yearly Valentine’s season when people express their love and affection with greetings and gifts.

It explained that the promo is open to subscribers who purchase two smartphones from any of the GloWorld shops, adding that it will run from February 8 to February 22.

As with seemingly every other car brand this year, Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) is starting 2024 off with another sales promo.

For the month of January, TMP is offering various Pay Low and Pay Light deals on select variants of the Vios, Innova, Hilux, and Corolla Cross.

Headlining the deals is the Vios 1.3 P8,776 per month with a 50% down payment on a 60-month term. That, or the P116,100 down payment option that comes iwth free insurance for the first year, free LTO registration for three years, and waived chattel mortgage fees, also on a 60-month term.

Sunrise Unveils Cross Ange TV Anime’s 2nd Promo – News

Animation studio Sunrise began streaming the second promotional video for its new original TV anime project titled Cross Ange: Tenshi to Ryu no Rondo (Cross Ange: Rondo of Angels and Dragons) on Friday. The anime will premiere in Japan in October on Tokyo MX, Mainichi Hoso, Aichi TVand Nippon BS Broadcasting.

NouCome Anime’s Unaired Episode Previewed in Promo – News

8th light novel volume bundled with original anime Blu-ray shipping in May 2014

Publisher Kadokawa began streaming a commercial for the eighth volume of Takeru Kusakabe’s Ore no Nōnai Sentakushi ga, Gakuen Love Come o Zenryoku de Jama Shiteiru (My mental choices are completely interfering with my school romantic comedy) light novel series on Wednesday. The commercial promotes the original anime Blu-ray that will come bundled with the novel. Kaori Sadohara (voice of heroine Chocolat) narrates the video, which also features the song “S・M・L☆” by Affilia Saga.


Kadokawa will ship the limited-edition novel and Blu-ray Disc in May 2014 and it will retail for 3,990 yen (about US$40). The set will include a box with a new illustration by light novel illustrator Yukiwo.

The television anime adaptation of the light novel series premiered in Japan on October 9. Takayuki Inagaki is directing the anime at animation studio diomedea from scripts by Hiroko Kanasugi. Chief animation director Hiroyuki Saida is also providing the character designs.

Calling all the heartbroken UAE fans of the Backstreet Boys who missed the tickets to the band’s Abu Dhabi concert — here’s another chance: Yas Island is offering new, exclusive packages that can get you a pass to the show.

The ’90s boy band is set to perform their greatest hits at Abu Dhabi’s Etihad Arena on May 7, as part of their DNA World Tour 2023. Tickets went on sale in February — but just six hours after it went live, all passes were gone .


Fans in the country were ready to book a flight to nearby countries to catch the boys on the next leg of their world tour — but surprise, surprise, tickets are back on sale.

This time, however, they came as part of a staycation package on Yas Island.
